HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking a Training Specialist SME - (SPA) - IT Security Training and Awareness Support to work out of their Washington, DC office.

Duties and Responsibilities:

We have an opportunity for a dynamic and collaborative Training Specialist SME to join our team. This Specialist will be a member of the team that supports the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts (the AO), Information Technology Security Office (ITSO). As a team member, the Training Specialist SME will function as an expert in IT security awareness and training and be responsible for creating materials that communicate IT security best practices, policies, practical tips, and requirements in a manner that is conversational, engaging and easily understood.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Awareness Materials including but not limited to Awareness Brochures, IT security ‘Tips of the Month’, IT Security related articles for judiciary newsletters and Awareness Posters.

  • Ensure that awareness and training material is reviewed periodically and updated and effectively deployed to reach the intended audience.

  • Develop security role-based training materials for ISSOs and System Owners that is intended to be used to adhere to the risk management framework as described in the Judiciary Framework.

  • Engage ISSOs and System Owners in training sessions as needed. Prepare for training sessions and execute the training according to the direction of the PM.

  • Gather and analyze data from a variety of sources to identify information security trends.

  • Participate in and or lead the creation of IT security-related electronic learning modules, presentations, and videos.

  • Maintain the security awareness website and publish regular content on the site pertaining to relevant and up-to-date security topics.

  • Develop and roll out security awareness initiatives (e.g., security newsletters, spotlights, awareness campaigns).

  • Assist judiciary organizations in the development of local IT security training and awareness programs.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field

  • At least 6 years of experience in cybersecurity management, operational, and/or technical activitiesAt least 4 years of experience performing the responsibilities of IT Security Training and Awareness Specialist in a federal or commercial environment

  • At least 4 years of experience in National Institute of Standards (NIST) cybersecurity standards and best practicesKnowledge:

  • Expert-level understanding of the concepts of information security risks and the different elements that make up these risks.

  • Basic understanding of a broad range of IT information security concepts (e.g., password security, safe Internet surfing, and the importance of backing up data).

  • Extensive knowledge of information security governance, risk management, and compliance best practices, procedures, and standards.

  • Practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques and ways to tailor communications to audiences of varying technical prowess.

  • Certifications (possess one of the following industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications):

  • CompTIA Security+

  • GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC)

  • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CSA+)
