HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking an IT Support Technician to work out of their San Diego office.

Camber provides software development and IT support to the MK 18 Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) program at SPAWAR Systems Center Pacific. The MK 18 program features Hydroid’s REMUS 100 & 600 unmanned vehicles and will be an important part of future littoral surveillance and mine counter measures efforts by our military customer.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Position includes installing, configuring and providing homegrown and vendor integrated software support for deployed MK18 UUV systems for War Fighters. Configure and maintain IT systems used in the Fleet and for T&E. Assist with the design, implementation, and maintenance for all network devices/systems for this location. Track and manage configurations of IT equipment used at Fleet activities. Some travel may be required< 10%.

Qualifications and Experience:

Required-

  • 3+ years of experience configuring Windows 7 and 10, Server 2008 and Server 2012 and various computing hardware.

  • COMP TIA Security+ and WIN7certifications, COMP TIA Network +(A Strong plus)

  • Strong Understanding of SAN and NAS (Synology and Netgear a plus) Equipment.

  • Knowledge of, and experience configuring and troubleshooting Spanning Tree (RSTP) in a Cisco environment.

  • Knowledge of, and experience configuring and troubleshooting RIPv2 and inter-VLAN routing in a routed network.

  • Understanding of static and LACP based port channels.

  • Ability to configure and maintain SNMPv3 encrypted functionality.

  • Ability to maintain RADIUS/TACACS+ authentication database on networking equipment.

  • Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting peripherals, components and drivers

  • Experience Installing software, firmware & applications as well as supporting and troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.

Preferred-

  • Some Linux experience a plus.

  • Use and configuration/design of JIRA software strongly preferred

  • COMP TIA Security+ and WIN7/10, CCENT or CCNA, COMP TIA Network + certifications (any combination strongly preferred).
