HII-TSD, Integrated Mission Solutions Group (Camber Corporation) is currently seeking Java Application Developers to work out of their Huntsville, AL office on Redstone Arsenal to support the integration and transformation of legacy US Army logistics applications and databases.

The following statements of duties and responsibilities are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Web software application developers will support the US Army Logistics Support Activity (LOGSA) onsite by designing, creating, editing, documenting and maintaining Java based applications.

  • The developer will analyze requirements prepared by business analysts and produce programs, functions, services and other related software components in response to LOGSA needs of moderate to high complexity.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication are needed along with excellent customer service skills. The applicant will be working on interdepartmental projects and interfacing with clients at all levels.

  • Collaborates with technical staff to understand and to develop new solutions or the resolution of software problems.

  • Use expertise to design develop, code, test, and debug software.

  • Support the entire application lifecycle (concept, design, test, release, support)

  • Gather specific requirements and suggest solutions

  • Write unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions

  • Trouble shoot and debug to optimize performance

Qualifications and Experience:


  • A minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science or MIS and 2 plus years direct experience in the design, development, implementation and support of custom client enterprise projects are required.

  • Proficiency is required in Java programming with good debugging skills.Skill sets needed include: Java, Java Server Faces, Spring, NetBeans, Java messaging services.

  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and cooperation in a fast paced, group environment. Preferred-

  • Desired skills include AngularJS & Protractor, Bootstrap, SQL, Spring or Java EE, Mockito, and Jetty/Glassfish/Weblogic Application Servers.

  • Web Service standards (SOAP, REST, WSDL, WS-I Basic Profile, WS-* extensions and standards)Experience with LOGSA and with logistics information systems in the areas of readiness and maintenance data processing is highly desired.


  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance prior to start.
