Human Language Translation (HLT) Specialist
The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Top Secret clearance
A qualified linguist in English and one or more of the following foreign languages:Arabic, Pashto, Dari, Persian-Farsi, Spanish, Punjabi, German, Somali, Turkish, Hausa, French, Kurdish, Russian, Uzbek, Bengali, Indonesian, or Tajik
Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with HLT technologies and computer programming
Experience, training and/or certification in the use of Translation Memory and Terminology Management;
Formal education in Linguistics or Computer Programming at a Masters or Doctorate level;
Experience applying HLT technology within an operational capacity at the National Media Exploitation Center (NMEC)
TS/SCI with poly clearance
Work collaboratively with teams of linguists and other functional areas to rapidly assess collections and determine their usefulness and applicability to current information requirements.
Apply techniques to large collections of media to generate detailed information products.
