Camber Corporation is seeking an Information Assurance Engineer for our Huntsville, AL office to join our team-oriented, Customer-Focused Employee-Driven Company. Responsible for recommending, implementing, and monitoring policies and procedures related to information security and information assurance. Must maintain a working knowledge of current security standards and controls utilized by the US Army, Department of Defense and the Intelligence Community. Manage and direct the implementation, testing and validation of physical, technical and administrative security requirements. Assist in the design of the security operations program and business continuity plan.

Responsible for configuring, integrating, operating, and maintaining the LOGSA Host Based Security Systems (HBSS) on Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2, Red Hat, and Solaris servers. Maintain the organizational HBSS Module Policies, Tasks, and Logs. Perform system administration on the HBSS. Monitor the HBSS for alerts, assess and modify the HBSS operational parameters (filters, signatures, rules, etc.) as required to meet mission requirements that are within DoD and Army regulations and policies.

Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems and procedures to protect data systems and databases from unauthorized users.

Determine causes of security breaches and researches, recommends, and implements changes to procedures to protect data from future violations.

Assist in educating users on security procedures.

Coordinate with external agencies and other departments.

Participate in meetings and working groups.

Work to be performed full time on site at Redstone Arsenal, AL

Little to no travel required

Basic Qualifications:

BS/BA in Computer Science or related discipline plus 4 years’ IA/Security and/or Network/Security related experience required.

Current COMPTIA Security Plus CE Certification

2+ yrs DIACAP/Risk Management Framework

Knowledge of Intrusion Protection Systems (IPS) Firewalls, and TCP/UDP Ports & Protocols and Services

Knowledge and Experience with Windows 2008, Linux (Red Hat), and Solaris.

Must have Active Secret Clearance at time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications: CISM, CISA, or CISSP. Previous experience supporting Army, DoD or federal government customers.

Security Clearance: The selected applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
